This bachelor thesis deals with various methods of image registration in the medical treatment. The criterias are elaborated for selecting the correct method of registration. This work describes parameters for proper transformation, identification, registration proces, a final assessment of registration for its approval and the corresponding evaluation. Some basic programs have already concerned with image registration and they are accompanied by basic information. This semester thesis also describes the basics of working with MRI and the creation of anatomical atlas from the magnetic resonation rat’s brain. In conclusion is described the creation of a simple graphical interface for viewing images of brain obtained from the magnetic resonance. Furthermore, the work deals with the registration of images according freely available programs and the related system of evaluation of these results. The scoring system is processed in a graphical users interface Matlab, where is used histograms, mosaic and evaluation using the cross.
Localization of IP stations based on model of probability delay measurement
Tropp, Peter ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Verner, Lukáš (advisor)
The master thesis is dealing with Internet host localization methods, more exactly with determining geographical position of the unknown Internet host connected to the network using RTT delay measuring. The first part is dealing with description of RTT delays that may occur in the network and tools for their measurement. The next is part of thesis is devoted to description of two kinds of localization methods. Ones that are using existing data to determine the position of Internet host also called passive methods, and others that are using RTT delay measurement, also called active methods. The main part is focused on GeoWeight method which is based on geographical localization estimation of Internet host. It is based on RTT delay measurement using the principles of CBG method, enhanced by introduction of the theory of weights according to the probability of the target Internet host. The last part is describing the application that was made to determine the geographic localization of the target Internet host using GeoWeight method. The application was afterwards tested by measuring RTT delay in PlanetLab experimental network. At the end the final measured results were compared with other localization methods (CBG, Octant, SOI, GeoIP).
The Compact urban structure in the Czech Republic
Gellnerová, Martina ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design a new urban structure with a connection to the historical center and complement the existing historical buildings. The addressed area is located in the historic center, which is also a city monument zone. There is a large number of heritage-protected buildings, which are also dominant. A large part of the buildings was bombed at the end of World War II. The proposal tries to respect the existing development and at the same time complement it so that it is similar to the structure of the city before the bombing. Furthermore, the creation of boundaries for the division of public and private space, the creation of public space for people, not cars, to make the Rokytná River embankment more accessible and attractive together with the reconstruction of an almost unused industrial area. The proposal also includes the return of the city hall to the main square. The newly proposed buildings are mainly residential in nature.
Performance of Distance Vector Localization in Wireless Sensor Network
Štrbíková, Tatiana ; Holešinský, Pavel (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with sensor networks and their localization. First section describes sensor networks in general and explains problems of localization and routing. The second part deals with localization using anchors. The principal of the Dv-hop and DV-Distance are there described in detail. These algorithms are used for simulations in Matlab in the main part of this thesis. According to the simulations the most sufficient number of sensors for good localization is estimated.

The inspiration is called unesco: from world heritage to special forestry sites in slovakia
Mičovský, Ján
Medieval devastation of forests led to the emergence of a forest profession. Today, the importance of this profession is enhanced by climate change. Despite this, foresters are often exposed to misunderstanding. Therefore, it is necessary to talk not only about the values of the forest, but also about the value of forestry work. One possibility is to offer an unconventional view of landscape elements created in connection with forestry. We can include these under the concept of natural, technical or building monuments. Reservations, transport systems, works of art, arboretum..., all this reveals the unsuspected breadth of forestry. These works not only document the ability of foresters to contribute to the creation and protection of the landscape, but are often also a contribution to the appreciation of its beauty. The system of declaring the world's natural and cultural heritage, which has been applied by UNESCO since 1972, offered inspiration in the attempt to use these values in presenting forestry. Its analogy in the conditions of Slovak forestry became the system of declaring "special forestry sites". This system, as an original way of protecting forestry history, has been implemented since 2007 by the state enterprise Lesy SR. So far, 58 special forestry sites have been declared. The guarantor of the system is the Forestry and Timber Museum in Zvolen. The idea grew into a permanent project, in which museum experts find not only an educational and popularizing effect, but also a tool for deepening forestry historical research. The most important part of this system is the increased protection, maintenance and often costly reconstruction of landscape monuments.
Allometric diversity and plasticity of cellular morphologies of desmids (Desmidiales, Zygnematophyceae)
Mezník, Daniel Heliodor ; Neustupa, Jiří (advisor) ; Kleisner, Karel (referee)
If the proportions of two features of an organism change during its growth, their relationships can be described as allometry. The first partof this thesis quantifies the allometric relationship of semicellular perimeter and area of 11 species of unicellular microalgae from the genus Euastrum. These algae are recognized for their fractalmorphology, which is theorized to be an adaptation for increasing their surface area which is used to absorb nutrients.Thequestion was whether larger individuals within a population have a more complex shape and therefore a longer perimeter. I examined microphotographs of tens of semicells obtained from preserved wild populations. All included species exhibited a marked increase in shape complexity. The same trend could be noticed on and interspecific level. I compared these results to existing studies conducted on the related Micrasterias lineage. The second part of this thesis deals with allometric changes during semicells ontogeny in both Euastrum and Micrasterias. I analyzed growing clonal cultures using geometric morphometry. Specifically, I observed the relative position of 11 structurally homologous landmarks on semicells of different ages. This has been the first experiment of its kind on these model organisms. Idescribed theontogenetic change in landmark...
Application of morphometric methods in anthropology
Pešek, Adam ; Eliášová, Hana (advisor) ; Šuláková, Hana (referee)
In last thirty years a new branch of comparative biology is growing rapidly, this branch is called the geometric morphometrics. Methods of geometrics morphometrics allow to gain and evaluate data about shape and size of studied object in 2D or 3D space. The character of input data divided methods used in geometric morphometric on method based on analysis of outlines and method based on analysis of landmarks. Many modern technologies like contact scanner, laser scanner or tps software are helping in data acquisition. The main conclusion of this bachelor work was exploring usability of methods of geometric morphometric in many cases in Anthropology. In many biological and mainly anthropological studies, geometric morphometric were applicated to compare shape variance and in studies of variability of shape. Common are studies of sexual dimorphism on human skeleton, ontogenetic developement of skeleton, disparity of sign on human skeleton among population and ethnicity or changes of these forms of structures in populations during time.
Spatial orientation in Odonata
Hupková, Lenka ; Černý, Martin (advisor) ; Sacherová, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this review is to evaluate and sum up an existing knowledge about spatial orientation of dragonflies, particularly at small and medium spatial scales. I deal mostly with orientation by horizontally polarized light, which belongs among the most explored field of orientation of Odonata; beside that I explore an orientation of dragonflies during the habitat selection and within their home ranges / territories. Regarding the latter, I pay an attention namely to the function of spatial landmarks, which has not been yet fully explored and offers a lot of opportunities for further research (like many other orientation topics of Odonata). I also briefly discuss an orientation of dragonflies during migrations. Besides the visual orientation I mention the orientation by olfactory sense, tough Odonata was concerned anosmic for a long time. Key words: spatial orientation, visual orientation, dragonflies, Odonata, landmarks
Geometric morphometrics of diatom frustules.
Hubáčková, Kateřina ; Kulichová, Jana (advisor) ; Pichrtová, Martina (referee)
This bachelor thesis includes a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I focused problematic parts of research of diatoms biology. I will discuss morphology of specific silica scale and its morphogenesis; life cycle, characteristic by the size diminution in vegetative phasis, and conception of taxonomy of these organisms which is rather complicated because of unclear species concept. Another part presents tools of geometric morphometrics which is rapidly developing method for investigation and quantification of biological shape. In the practical part, I present the results from own research. This experiment is preliminary study for diploma thesis and its purpose is to appropriate tools of geometric morphometrics and to present advantages of its methods. I will investigate morphological disparity of three strains of pennate diatoms cultivated in standard conditions studied by landmark methos. The aim of this study is to discover if small cells which have gone trough the long phasis of vegetative multiplication and are close to the sexual reproduction have diferent degree of morphological variability than the bigger ones just undergone by sexual process.
